Rhythmic Gymnastics is a beautiful combination of art and sport, blending gymnastics and dance with skillful manipulations of gymnastics apparatus. The apparatus may include ball, clubs, hoop, ribbon or rope, and in some cases no apparatus at all. Gymnasts may perform in groups or as individuals. In fact, the sport works in such a way that it showcases elements from ballet, dance and gymnastics, in combination with manipulating the gymnastic apparatus.
Wascana Rhythmic Gymnastics Club (WRGC) offers Active Start recreational program for children 2 to 9 years old. Active Start classes are offered as a Fall, Winter and Spring session. WRGC also offers Performance programming beginning at 5 years old. Performance programs run for 36 weeks from September to June. No experience is necessary for these classes.
WRGC offers an advanced pre-competitive program for young athletes (5-6 years old) called Rising Stars. This program is by recommendation only for young athletes who show early potential towards the competitive program. Free assessments by our NCCP Gymnastics coaches are required for this program. WRGC also offers a pre-competitive program for athletes 6 years and up called Rhythm Cat. This program fits between the recreational and competitive programs.
WRGC offers Provincial and National level programming for athletes 7 years and up. Gymnasts are categorized according to ability and age and compete in individual and/or group routines using apparatus such as ball, clubs, hoop, ribbon, or rope. Ballet instruction is included for our competitive programs.
Recreational Summer Camps are offered in July and August for both beginner and intermediate athletes. Recreational camps are open to children 6-12 years old with or without gymnastics/dance experience.

This block should be hidden. YOU MUST INCLUDE THE HTML CODE OR ELSE YOU LOSE ALL FORMATTING, EVEN WHEN EDITING JUST THE PHOTOS. This website uses html for the textbox; thus, you must use html code to format your code (bold, underline, colour changes, etc.). Also, the hex codes and the colour names do not format the correct colour on the website (observe that the colour coding’s here are denoted as olive but produce a black when published). I, the writer of this, could only get shades of blue/green/black/purple to show. #E03D5B gives a purply colour
